IPL 2023 Auction Schedule, Auction Date And Time, Players List, Rules, Live Telecast in India, and Live Streaming Details. All the IPL franchises are gearing up for IPL 2023 auction, which is set to take place on December 23 (Friday) in Kochi, Kerala.
A total of 10 teams will battle against each other to grab some powerful players in their squad during IPL 2023 auction. Since IPL 2023 auction is a mini-auction, many teams have retained players in their squads. Currently, all the teams have around 10-16 players in their squads. During the auction, every team will be allowed to pick up to 25 players in their squad.

About 650 players are expected to be part of the IPL 2023 auction. The 10 franchises have retained a total of 163 players in their current. These teams have also released a total of 85 players from their squads. The released players will be part of the auction in addition to other players who wish to be part of IPL 2023.

Every franchise has a salary cap of Rs. 95 crores in this auction. Last year, the salary cap of each team was Rs. 90 crores. Hence, the salary cap has been increased by Rs. 5 crores this time. Like every IPL auction, IPL 2023 auction is expected to witness some expensive deals.
IPL 2023 Auction Date and Venue
IPL 2023 auction is set to take place on December 23, 2022. The venue of the event is Kochi in Kerala. Like the previous auction, the event will start at 11 AM IST.

A total of 10 teams are part of IPL 2023 auction and they will bid for their favourite players during the auction. They are Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Mumbai Indians (MI), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

Every team has a salary cap of Rs. 95 crores in IPL 2023 auction. It is Rs. 5 crores more than the previous auction. However, since all the franchises have retained some players in their squads, they have used some amount from their salary cap.
Now, Sunrisers Hyderabad has the most salary cap available at Rs. 42.25 crores while Kolkata Knight Riders have the least salary cap of Rs. 7.05 crores. Below we take a glance at the salary cap and available slots of each team during IPL 2023 auction.
