IPL 2023 is all set to commence on 31st March where CSK is going to lock horns against Gujarat Titans GT) on 31st March at Narendra Modi Stadium. CSK would be aiming to start afresh after a forgettable IPL 2022 where they finished at 9th position. Mukesh Choudhary was one of the biggest positives for CSK where he took 16 wickets in 13 matches. Mukesh Choudhary troubled the batters and he didn’t give ample room to the batters.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) had a brilliant IPL 2022. Skipper KL Rahul along with Mentor Gautam Gambhir & Head Coach Andy Flower formed a dangerous unit. Mohsin Khan, the left-arm speedster took 14 scalps in 9 matches & surprised the batters with his sheer pace & immaculate lines & lengths.

Huge Blow for CSK

CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan was having an interaction with Cricbuzz & revealed that it looks unlikely that Mukesh Choudhary will take part in IPL 2023 due to a back injury which isn’t been recovered.

“We are waiting on Mukesh but we do not have much hope. He was one of our bowling mainstays last year. It will be unfortunate if he misses out.” said CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan.

Mukesh Choudhary who is in NCA undergoing rehab was asked whether he could make a comeback to competitive cricket as he has been missing from action since December 2022 when he was quite optimistic.

“I’m good and hope to get well soon,” said Mukesh Choudhary.

Concerns for LSG

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) lethal pacer Mohsin Khan isn’t fit yet, when contacted by Cricbuzz, the franchise refused to make a comment. LSG’s first match is against the mighty Delhi Capitals (DC) on the 1st of April. There are chances that Mohsin Khan would miss a couple of games.

LSG perhaps would include the seasoned campaigner Jaydev Unadkat in their first match where he has similar traits to Mohsin Khan. CSK on the other hand would be worried as finding a like-for-like replacement would be quite tough where the franchise would be hoping that Mukesh Chaudhary is available for the latter half of the season.
