Devon Conway has clarified his statement after facing backlash from New Zealand fans over his comments following Chennai Super Kings’ victory in the IPL 2023 final. The Black Caps’ supporters can now breathe easy, as Conway revealed that he didn’t mean to label the win as the “biggest victory” of his career.
After his crucial knock of 47 runs from 25 balls in the final, Devon Conway initially referred to the win as the “biggest victory of my career.” However, he later clarified his statement, stating that it was the “best T20 victory of my career” and not the overall best. He acknowledged that winning the World Test Championship with the Black Caps in 2021 was a truly special moment for him.

Devon Conway’s outstanding performance throughout the IPL season for the Chennai Super Kings under the guidance of coach Stephen Fleming garnered much attention.
