There has been much discussion and writing regarding Indian players’ absence from international T20 leagues. IPL is the sole franchise-based competition where Indian players get to ply their craft in addition to at the international and domestic levels due to BCCI’s emphasis on keeping them exclusive. Their fame and the consequent attention would appear to be a mouth-watering possibility for any tournament.
Yet, that hasn’t prevented players and tournament organizers from speculating about the enormous value addition that Indian players might bring to these tournaments. One such cricketer from India who continues to be at the top of the list for tournament directors is MS Dhoni.

Would Be Great To Have Indian Legend MS Dhoni In Your Camp: Aiden Markram
When questioned about the potential of Dhoni participating in SA20, South Africa’s top batsman Aiden Markram responded that it would be excellent for the local players to interact with someone of his level and expertise. On Thursday, Markram was chosen as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
“To be honest with you, someone like MS (Dhoni) would be great to have in your camp just for the guys to be able to learn from him,” Markram told reporters.

“He has got all the knowledge and seen everything that this game has produced. For our local players in South Africa to be able to spend time with someone like MS Dhoni would be great. That’s one that comes to my mind, firstly but there would be a lot of players that would be discussed for sure,” he added.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is hoping Markram can repeat this achievement in the IPL, which is set to begin on March 31. Markram guided Sunrisers Eastern Capes to the SA championship triumph in the inaugural season.
When asked who he would want to serve as the vice-captain of the SRH team between Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mayank Agarwal, Markram said,  “It’s a tough one. I have played under Mayank Agarwal at Kings for half a season. He and I got on really well.”
“On the other hand, if you look at the amount of experience someone like Bhuvi has, it’s almost irreplaceable. So to pick one is a difficult one, right now. But both of them would nail it certainly,” he added.
