Virat Kohli recently shared a comedic anecdote about stealing the dance show at parties after drinking a few years ago.

Whatever form he is in at any point in his career, Kohli has been lauded as one of the fittest and most energetic cricketers on earth. Besides rigorous exercise and heavy training, the ex-India captain has also cleaned up his diet and lifestyle throughout the years. This involves becoming a vegan and giving up alcohol.

Kohli, along with his wife Anushka Sharma, were present at the Indian Sports Honours event recently. On the red carpet, the celebrity duo was asked rapid-fire questions. To the question – “Who is most likely to steal the dance floor?” Anushka quickly pointed towards Virat. After some confusion, the RCB player shared a fun anecdote back from his drinking days.

“I don’t drink anymore but back in the day, party mein ghus ke agar do drink ho gayi toh, phir yes (If I had two drinks after going to a party, then yes [most likely to steal the dance floor). Take over matlab to a point where people don’t want me there. I didn’t care then, do-teen drink ke baad (after two-three drinks). Not anymore, back in the day yes,” he said.

Ahead of IPL 2023, each team has set up training camps at their home grounds for their players coming from all over the world. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Have set up their camp at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Virat Kohli took part in his first training session at the camp yesterday, and the crowd present in the Stadium roared.

These practice sessions are usually open to fans, and a few hundred people are always present at such camps to witness their favorite cricketers. While all players for all teams are seen with adoration by the fans at these camps, not all teams have a player with the popularity of Virat Kohli, so it was only fair that the crowd present inside Chinnaswamy rang in unison with the ‘Kohli! Kohli!’ chant.

RCB will kick off their IPL 2023 season on Sunday, April 2, against 5-time champion Mumbai Indians.
