IPL Auction 2023- Manish Pandey Bought By Delhi Capitals (DC) For 2.40 Crores

Manish Pandey was picked by -Delhi Capitals during IPL 2023 auction. The team shelled out Rs. 2.40 crores to grab the Indian player into their squad. Earlier, Manish Pandey had set a base price of Rs. 1 crore for himself in IPL 2023 auction.

Manish Pandey is 33 years old and is a right-handed batsman. He plays in the top order. He has been part of IPL since the debut edition of 2008 and has played many games in the league. He has also played for India’s national cricket team.

Manish Pandey Played For Lucknow Super Giants In IPL 2022

In the last season, Pandey played for Lucknow Super Giants. He played 6 games for the team but could only score a total of 88 runs with a top knock of 38 runs in one game. Due to his flop show, the team rested him for most of the games. Later, he was released from the squad ahead of IPL 2023 auction.

Pandey has played in IPL since its debut edition. Over the years, he has played 160 matches in the tournament and mustered 3648 runs at an average of 29.90. He has also hit 1 century and 21 half-centuries in IPL at a strike rate of 121.52.

In the past season, Pandey has played for teams like Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pune Warriors India, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Lucknow Super Giants.

The right-handed batsman also played for India from 2015 to 2021. He played 29 ODIs and 39 T20Is for Team India. In ODIs, he scored 566 runs at an average of 33.29 with 1 century and 2 half-centuries.

In T20I, he scored 709 runs in 39 games at an average of 44.31 and a strike rate of 126+. He also slammed 3 fifties in the shortest format out of which the top score was 79 runs. However, Pandey fails to get a spot on the national team now.
