Chennai Super Kings returned to the IPL in 2018 after being banned for two years due to match-fixing scandals. The returning squad had many players above the age of 35 captained by MS Dhoni himself. One such member was Harbhajan Singh who joined the camp after playing for 10 years with Mumbai Indians.

Harbhajan Singh, Ambati Rayudu, Shane Watson, and Kedar Jadhav were the newest members of the CSK family having joined them in 2018. All played their part in CSK’s title-winning season that year. Bhajji took seven wickets that season and 16 the next season in 2019.
