Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) would be ecstatic after winning a thriller against Rajasthan Royals (RR). RCB now are all set to take on the mighty Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 26th April (Wednesday) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Mohammed Siraj was a tad expensive against RR but had taken the crucial wicket of Jos Buttler in the power-play overs. Siraj though has shown good control over his line & length.

RCB now have won 2 matches on the bounce and had 8 points from 7 matches. The side all of a sudden under the regime of Virat Kohli (stand-in skipper as Faf is not 100% fit to the field) is looking like a threatening one as defending at Bengaluru is never easy irrespective of the target.

KKR have been blown hot & cold and are languishing at 8th position in the points table with 2 wins from 7 matches. KKR had a forgettable outing against CSK when they were outplayed in all the 3 facets of the game. It will require a helluva of effort for KKR to qualify for playoffs from this position.

RCB would be worried as once again their middle order was exposed against RR. RCB scored 41 runs in the last 6 overs and lost 6 wickets. Dinesh Karthik’s form is a concern for the team and it won’t be wrong to say that the side is too much dependent on Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis & Glenn Maxwell

KKR on the other hand needs to figure out their bowling combination. Astonishingly, the side didn’t feature Shardul Thakur & Tim Southee against a star-studded CSK batting lineup. KKR gave away 141 runs in the last 10 overs as their bowling lineup was exposed.

Watch: It’s alright Mohammed Siraj- Mahipal Lormor

During the last ball of the 19th over, RR’s batter Dhruv Jurel played a shot towards long on at Mahipal Lormor who couldn’t throw it properly to Mohammed Siraj who was at non-striker’s end due to which Ashwin & Lormor took another run. Mohammed Siraj was quite furious with Mahipal Lormor. RR required 20 runs to win off the final over but Harshal Patel bowled a terrific last over and won the match for RCB by 7 runs.

After the match, Mohammed Siraj was seen on the social media handle of RCB who apologised to Mahipal Lormor. Mahipal Lormor gave a perfect response to Mohammed Siraj

“It’s alright Siraj Bhai. Bade bade matchon mein aise choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain (Such small things keep happening in such big matches),” said Mahipal Lormor.
