Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy stadium will host the RCB vs MI IPL 2023 match 5 on April 2, Sunday, The match starts at 7.30 pm as the venue is hosting its first IPL game in three years. The five-time IPL champions will be missing Jasprit Bumrah for the entire season as he is ruled out with a back injury. Sandeep Warrier has been named as his replacement. Fans still not be able to see the Archer-Bumrah combo bowling in tandem this season.

RCB also have injury concerns with Josh Hazlewood set to miss the first half of the season due to his Achilles injury. There are concerns over Glenn Maxwell’s participation in the first game as Wanindu Hasaranga is unavailable for the first game as he is busy with national commitments against New Zealand.

The IPL 2023 will witness 74 games and the final is scheduled to take place on May 28. A total of 10 teams are part of IPL 2023 namely- Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Kolkata Knight Riders.

The home and the away format will be back in IPL 2023 and the team will enjoy great fan support during their home games. Hence, all the teams will play matches at home and away stadiums. Each team will play a total of 14 games- 2 games each against 5 teams and 1 match each against the rest 4 teams. The top 4 teams in the points standings after the league stage will secure playoff spots. The IPL 2023 final will be played on May 28.
