SRH Players List IPL Auction 2023, SRH Team, SRH Squad. SRH had the highest remaining purse of 42.25 crores heading into the IPL 2023 auction in Kochi on December 23. They have released 13 players, the most by any during the retention window. The franchise finished eighth with six wins and eight losses.

The franchise also released Kane Williamson and is on the lookout for its next skipper as well. The franchise is looking to revamp the entire squad and the hefty purse will come to their advantage. 

Every franchise has a total salary cap of Rs. 95 crores in the auction. During the retentions, the 10 teams retained 163 players in their squad. Now, there are 87 slots available overall during IPL 2023 auction.

SRH has the highest remaining purse with over 40 crores in their bank and KKR with 7.05 crores has the least purse remaining heading into the auction. Each franchise must have a total of 25 players in their squads for the IPL 2023 season.

A total of 991 players, including 714 Indians and 277 overseas, registered for the IPL 2023 mini-auction. Now, the board BCCI has shortlisted the players and announced the IPL 2023 Player Auction list.

The BCCI trimmed down the final list of players going into the auction from 991 to 405. Initially, 369 players were initially shortlisted by 10 teams, but later 36 additional players were requested and they were added to the final list.

Out of 405 players, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players of which four are from the associate nations. There are 119 capped players and 282 uncapped players including four from Associate nations. 21 players have registered themselves for a base price of 2 crores all of whom are overseas players.

The IPL 2023 auction came to an end in Kochi on December 23. SRH retained only 12 players during the retention window. Umran Malik, Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and T Natarajan were some of the Indian players retained. Marco Jansen, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Aiden Markram, and Glenn Phillips were some of the overseas players retained. 

With the biggest available purse, SRH needed to overhaul their squad and they did the best they can. They could have bought the biggest names that came up in the auction and they ended up buying the names mentioned below to complete their squad.
