Punjab Kings (PBKS) are on a roll after winning two back-to-back matches in IPL 2023. PBKS are all set to lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 9th April (*Sunday). Shikhar Dhawan played a staggering unbeaten knock against Rajasthan Royals (RR) of 86 runs in 56 balls, he struck 9 fours & 3 sixes. It looks like captaincy has improved Shikhar Dhawan‘s batting as he has looked composed.

PBKS would be eyeing to keep the winning run continue against SRH who have looked scratchy. PBKS batter Prabhsimran Singh played a stunning breezy knock of 60 runs in 34 balls as he struck 7 fours & 3 sixes. Prabhsimran Singh got PBKS off to a flyer & laid the foundation for the rest of the batters.

SRH fans were quite shell-shocked when Harry Brook scored 13 runs in 21 balls & looked quite scratchy. All eyes would be on SRH skipper Aiden Markram who has been in top-notch form across all the formats of the game. It would be interesting to see whether he opens the batting or bats in the middle order.

MS Dhoni’s presence was quite calm- Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan was speaking on “The Ranveer Show”. Shikhar Dhawan opened up on the atmosphere in the Indian dressing room when he used to play under the regime of MS Dhoni. Shikhar Dhawan pointed out that MS Dhoni never pressurize any player.

“Dhoni bhai created a very relaxed environment within the team. He is very chilled out. He only said things that needed to be said, and his presence was quite calm,” said Shikhar Dhawan.

“He is a very fun-loving guy. He is a very simple and down-to-earth person. He too is aggressive at times, but he restrains himself as he knows that it could spoil the environment. That’s his maturity. He has a lot of self-control,” he added.

Great Chance for PBKS

The peculiarity of PBKS is that they have got two lethal left-arm pacers in the form of Sam Curran & Arshdeep Singh who can frustrate the batters with their angle as well as their impeccable lines & lengths. It won’t be wrong to say that PBKS are the dark horse for the tournament who can surprise the opponent.

SRH on the other hand would be banking on Rahul Tripathi. Rahul Tripathi will have to bat responsibly as the middle order is quite inexperienced. It would be interesting to see how Aiden Markram fares as a skipper, there are huge expectations from him after winning the SA20 for Sunrisers Eastern Cape in 2023.
