Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be trying to improve on their poor eighth-place finish in the Indian Premier League previous season (IPL). SRH, under new skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar, will play Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their first encounter. RR, who finished second in the points standings with 18 points from 14 matches last season, will be seeking to maintain their form.

RR earned a ticket in the qualification rounds despite falling to Gujarat Titans in the playoffs due to their second-place result. In the Elimination, they succeeded in knocking off Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), but ultimately fell to Gujarat Titans in the championship game. This match should be intriguing to watch because both teams are playing well, and SRH wants to establish itself as a serious IPL contender.

The Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal recently discussed his fantastic partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin during the Indian Premier League last year (IPL). It was difficult for the opposition’s batsmen to score easily as both bowlers showed their skill.

One of India’s best spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal, underlined how he and Ashwin’s bowling combo was characterized by good communication and understanding.

“We are very excited, it’s the first match. When you do well, it helps the team. I have had a very good partnership with Ashwin last year and we would like to continue that. We need to win games consistently and we need to work hard in every game as our goal is to not only reach the playoffs but reach the top two,” Yuzvendra Chahal said in a pre-match presentation.

“We would have to travel a lot, as there will be home and away games and there will be back-to-back games. It’s a new journey for us, so the focus is on the present. It is a challenging thing but there are breaks as well in the schedule so it’s fine,” Yuzvendra Chahal added.

Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal held the Purple Cap in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chahal scalped a total of 27 wickets, at an average of 19.51 and an economy of 7.75 in 17 matches of IPL 2022.
