West Indies take on Ireland in the second of the three ODIs on Thursday at Sabina Park Stadium in Jamaica. West Indies have taken a 1-0 lead in the series after winning the first ODI by 24 runs. In pursuit of the score, Ireland lost William Porterfield for a duck in the second over of the innings. Andrew Balbirnie and Andy McBrine, however, ensured that Ireland don’t lose further wickets until the next 34 overs.

Skipper Andrew Balbirnie played an outstanding 71-run knock off 94 deliveries. Andy McBrine contributed 34 off 50 before getting retired hurt, while Harry Tector made 53 off 68 deliveries. Just when it seemed like the match was going out of the hands of West Indies, Romario Shepherd sent Ireland’s skipper back to the hut in the 38th over. In the very next over, Odean Smith took the wicket of Harry Tector to help West Indies come back into the game.
