Virat Kohli (C)

Devdutt Padikkal was recently tested COVID-19 positive but soon his next report came with a negative result. Though he missed out on the first match of the IPL 2021, Padikkal is now available for the selection and RCB are surely waiting to utilise him as soon as possible.
AB de Villiers (wk)
Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers was one of the heroes in the first game of the IPL 2021. When RCB were struggling and most of their crucial batsmen lost their wickets, de Villiers played the crucial knock of 48 off just 27 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Though he couldn’t finish the game due to a run-out, he almost secured that game as RCB needed 2 more runs in the last two balls to win that match.
It is a crucial IPL season for the Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell and he impressed in the first match of the IPL 2021. He had a partnership of 52 runs for the third wicket with captain Kohli and scored 39 runs off 28 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Maxwell has to play a strong role in the RCB middle-order batting line-up.
Australian all-rounder Daniel Christian can play a crucial role for the RCB in the IPL 2021. In the first match, he conceded 21 runs in two overs and scored only one run. However, the experienced IPL cricketer has good abilities who recently proved his qualities in the BBL 2020/21 and PSL 2021.
Shahbaz Ahmed played the first match of the IPL 2021 which was his third IPL match. While he bowled only one over in the latest match, he conceded 14 runs in that over. Later, he scored only one run with the bat. He has to prove himself soon to secure his spot in the RCB playing XI.
In the IPL 2021 opening match, Washington Sundar bowled one over (1/7) where he took the crucial wicket of set batsman Chris Lynn (49) where he took a good catch running backwards. While he didn’t get the second over, he opened with Virat Kohli at chasing and scored 10 runs before Krunal Pandya dismissed him.
The leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is definitely a very crucial name in the RCB squad but he is currently in off form. In the opening match of the IPL 2021, Chahal was really expensive as he had bowling figures of 4-0-41-0. RCB team management is surely wishing Chahal’s wicket-taking form return in a quick period.
New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson is growing up as a good quality pacer, who made his IPL debut in the first game of the IPL 2021. He bowled really well in that game as he ended that match with bowling figures of 4-0-27-1. Surely, he will get more confidence with this start, who also scored 4 runs before getting run-out.
Harshal Patel hugely impressed as a bowler in the opening match of the IPL 2021 where he got a fifer as he had bowling figures of 4-0-27-5. It was the first five-wicket haul for a bowler against Mumbai Indians while it was the third-best bowling figures for an RCB bowler. Moreover, he bowled impressively in the death overs as RCB will now serious about him for the death overs bowling. And we shouldn’t forget his winning run on the final ball of the match as 4 not out off 3 balls was also valuable for the team.
Pacer Mohammed Siraj bowled in good control in the IPL 2021 opening match, who also delivered the first ball of this season. Though he couldn’t take a wicket which he deserved, he had bowling figures of 4-0-22-0.
