The third India vs New Zealand ODI will be played in Indore on January 24. India have already won the series by winning the first two games. Since 2010, they have played 26 bilateral ODI series at home winning 23 and losing just three. They are looking for a potential clean sweep on Tuesday. The series continues the preparations for the ODI World Cup for both teams.

India won the second ODI by 8 wickets after bowling out the Kiwis for a paltry 108. Mohammed Shami picked 3 for 18 as all the other bowlers shared the wickets amongst themselves. He was also awarded the Man of the Match for his exploits on Saturday.

Rohit Sharma scored 51 off 50 balls and an unbeaten 40 from Shubman Gill ensured a comfortable win for the hosts. The team would be looking for another clinical performance in Indore. The Indian top-order has fired consistently well for the side till now. Rohit and Gill have added 143, 33, 95, 60 and 72 for the first wicket while opening the batting so far in ODIs.

Both teams have announced their ODI squads. Rohit Sharma will lead the Men in Blue while Tom Latham will lead the Kiwis. Most of the players who played in the ODI series against Sri Lanka have been named for the series against New Zealand. Regular skipper Kane Williamson has decided to opt out of the tour. Along with him, Tim Southee and Trent Boult are also missing which has made the Kiwi bowling attack look a lot weaker.

The series began on January 18 with the first ODI in Hyderabad. The second ODI was played (January 21) and the third will be played in Indore (January 24). Both teams then play a three-match T20I series. The T20Is will be played in Ranchi (January 27), Lucknow (January 29), and Ahmedabad (February 1) respectively.
