The senior Kiwi all-rounder Michael Bracewell was expected to fight back and play a good knock while chasing a humongous total, but he failed miserably and scored run-a-ball 8 before being dismissed by the express pacer Umran Malik.
Bowling his 1st over in the 5th over of the innings, Umran castled Bracewell on the 3rd ball of the over. The pacer bowled a short of a good length ball pitching on off-stump and Bracewell looked to pull it away but was beaten by the pace and the ball shattered the stumps.

Winning the toss and batting first, India posted a humongous 234/4 on the board with the help of an outstanding knock by Shubman Gill and good contributions by Rahul Tripathi, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav.
Shubman Gill scored an unbelievable 126* runs off 63 balls, with 12 fours and 7 sixes. He broke Virat Kohli’s record to register the highest individual score by an Indian in T20Is.
Defending the target, Indian bowlers ran through the New Zealand batting unit and reduced them to 21/5 in the 5th over itself.
