NZ vs IND: NZ Playing 11 for IND, 3rd T20I, 2023.  India will lock horns with New Zealand in the third NZ vs IND T20I on Wednesday (February 1). India won the second T20I in Lucknow, and have leveled the three-match T20 series 1-1. A win in Ahmedabad will help Hardik Pandya-led side maintain the number-one ranking as well as help India win the series.

It will be a series decider in the third and final NZ vs IND match after the hosts Indians won the second game by 6 wickets and leveled the series. The Kiwis could manage only 99 runs on the board, and the Indians also struggled in the run chase finishing the game with a ball to spare. As both sides go into the series decider, they will have to produce their best show to win the game.

Indians have dominated the Kiwis in this format of the game. They have lost only twice against New Zealand in the last 10 games. The side plays at home, and they have good knowledge of the conditions. It will be interesting to see if the Kiwis can defeat the Indians in the latter’s backyard and grab the NZ vs IND T20I series.

Skipper Hardik Pandya will feel relieved after his side managed to level the series in the last game. There was a lot of criticism of the Indian bowlers in the first game. The Indian side has gained momentum with the last win, and they will look to grab the series 2-1. Hardik Pandya will look for a good show from his bowlers, as it has been one of the concerns for the side in the last two years.

Mitchell Santner will feel upset with the performance of his batters in the last 2nd T20I game. They didn’t adjust to the conditions and fell 20 runs short of what would have been a good score on that surface. Having allowed the Indians to level the series, Mitchell Santner and his boys need to pull out a good show in this game and grab the series.

Finn Allen and Devon Conway have done well in the last 12 months, and the side will expect a strong show from them in this game. Glenn Phillips has to score quick runs in the middle order along with Mark Chapman and Daryl Mitchell. Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner must do well down the order as the Indian bowling attack shall challenge them.

The bowling attack is a bit weak for the side, and they will need tight spells with the new ball from Jacob Duffy and Michael Bracewell. Mitchell Santner must lead from the front and bowl good spells along with spinner Ish Sodhi. They will also need tight bowling from pacer Lockie Ferguson and Mark Chapman in this series decider.
