Rohit Sharma & Co reached Hyderabad on Monday for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand starting on January 18. As the absence of an in-form Kane Williamson puts New Zealand in a difficult position, Devon Conway would be the key player to watch out for. The southpaw batsman was named man of the series against Pakistan.

New Zealand will also be missing Tim Southee and Trent Boult in this series. There are many less experienced faces in the bowling attack.  Lockie Ferguson, Ish Sodhi, and Mitchell Santner will have to lead the bowling effort for the visitors. India with their superior-looking squad would be the favourites but with New Zealand, if history is any indicator, you’re always in for a surprise.

India will have one eye on the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 this year as they get ready to play New Zealand in the home series. Shubman Gill has knocked on the door with some consistent performances and will be one to watch out for.

Devon Conway and Finn Allen will be expected to give the team a good start.  Whereas, Daryl Mitchell and Tom Latham are crucial in the middle order. Glenn Phillips is a great asset lower down the order and can play the finisher’s role. Mark Chapman can be expected to come in for Kane Williamson.
