Former England cricketer, Graeme Swann has revealed he has lost a lot of weight after joining the British dance reality show. Meanwhile, the 39-year-old was close to leaving the BBC dancing competition at the weekend after landing in the dance-off with Danny John-Jules and Amy Dowden.

However, after training and performing with partner Oti Mabuse, Graeme Swann said he had lost to-and-a-half-stone. It is almost around 16 kgs, and he had made it possible in the last two months.

Moreover, Zoe Ball had asked Swann about the weight loss at the time of hosting the show. He said it jokingly that his aerobics themed Salsa was the reason for it, besides the treadmills.

Swann, who has three kids — Wilfred (7) Charlotte (6) and Jessica (2) with Sarah — said he’s struggling to be a part of the show.

“We have three very young kids. I live in Nottingham, and it’s hard balancing everything.”

The former cricketer is paired with professional dancer, Oti Mabuse, and they have made it through to the Blackpool stages. Both of them ended up in the dance-off last weekend, facing Danny John Jules and Amy Dowden. However, Graeme and Oti came out on top.

Unfortunately, the dance did land Graeme Swann and Oti Mabuse in the bottom two alongside Danny John Jules and Amy Dowden. However, the votes of the judges saved them, as Graeme and Oti will get an opportunity to dance again in Blackpool this week.

Meanwhile, the spinner first played in a nondescript one-day international in Bloemfontein, but it was a brief foray into the top level. His Test debut came against India in at Chennai in 2008, and from that point he never looked back, becoming one of England’s greatest spinners.

However, the English cricketer had played 60 Tests, 79 ODIs and 39 T20Is for his nation. He also holds an excellent economy rate both in red and white-ball cricket.
