The tall and lanky pacer of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Billy Stanlake has showered heaps of praise on his team’s fielding efforts in the last game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad continued their winning run beating KKR by five wickets. Stanlake claimed the man-of-the-match award for his outstanding effort with the ball.
However, Stanlake credited the fielders for his wickets. Especially, Manish Pandey who was outstanding on the field last night. Pandey’s gravity-defying effort to remove Nitish Rana was a crucial moment in the game.
Rana and Chris Lynn added 39 runs and it looked like KKR could get on top of the visitors. That’s when the rain came.
Stanlake credited Mandey for his wickets while taking the man-of-the-match award.
“The wickets of Rana and (Andre) Russell were only thanks to two great catches. Think I should buy Manish some beers after this,” said Stanlake.
Skipper Kane Williamson also talked about the standards of the fielding very highly.
“It is obviously nice to win three in a row, but this surface needed some adapting. There wasn’t a lot of turn, and Kolkata are a strong team, but it was nice to go over the line in this city,” Williamson said.
Meanwhile, Dhawan has decided to shift gears in this edition of the T20 league.
“I’m not gonna hold back. Things have been changing for more than year now. Just trying to enjoy the journey, and mistakes are part of the process. I’m a big believer in process so just want to keep everything going as it is,” he maintained.
