Karachi Kings are set to lock horns with Peshawar Zalmi in the 11th match of the Pakistan Super League 2022 on Friday at National Stadium in Karachi. Despite playing all their games at home, Karachi Kings haven’t managed to win a single match so far. They have lost all three games and thus are sitting at the bottom of the points table.
In the batting unit, barring Sharjeel Khan, none of the batsmen hasn’t made a great impact with the bat. Babar Azam played a decent knock of 41 runs in 33 balls in the last game and that should give him some confidence.

However, the likes of Nabi, Joe Clarke and L Gregory also need to step up to the plate. The middle-order is yet to fire in the tournament. The wicket is great to bat on and thus you expect them to play crucial knocks for the team.
In a big boost for them, Mohammad Amir has recovered from Covid-19 and he is likely to play the game on Friday. He should bolster the bowling unit. The likes of Imad Wasim (1 for 28), M Nabi (1 for 27) and Umaid Asif (2 for 30) all fared well with the ball in the last game and that should keep them positive heading into the game on Friday.

Facing them are Peshawar Zalmi, who too haven’t had a great outing, as far as results are concerned. In 3 matches, they have managed to win only 2 games and are coming into this encounter on the back of a 29-run defeat over Lahore Qalandars. Peshawar Zamli failed to create any pressure with the ball and, thus, conceded as many as 199 runs in the first innings.
Skipper Wahab Riaz had a forgettable outing with the ball as he gave away 33 runs without a wicket to his name in 4 overs. Besides, the likes of Arish Khan (0 for 36 in 2 overs) and Usman Qadir (1 for 43) also went for plenty of runs.

In response to the score, Kamran Akmal gave the team an ideal start as he scored 41 runs in 24 balls. However, he lost partners as well on the other hand during his stay at the crease. His wicket in the 9th over added further pressure on the team.
Haider Ali also looked solid and found form with a 49-run knock off 34 balls but wickets kept falling at regular intervals. In the end, Peshawar Zalmi fell 29 runs short of the target as they were restricted to 170 runs in the second innings. Heading into the next game on Friday, Peshawar Zalmi would be looking to get back to winning ways.
