Karachi Kings take on Quetta Gladiators in the fourth match of the PSL 2022 on Saturday at National Stadium in Karachi. Karachi Kings didn’t fare too well last year and haven’t made a great start this year either. The Kings suffered a humiliating seven-wicket defeat at the hands of Multan Sultans in the first match of this season.
The batting succumbed to a great bowling display from the Sultans. Barring Sharjeel Khan, who scored a valuable 43 off 31, no other batsmen got going. Skipper Babar Azam could only manage to score 23 in 29 balls, while Joe Clarke got out after scoring 26 in 24 balls.

Karachi Kings, as a result, could only manage to score 124 runs in the first innings. It was never going to be enough for the bowlers to defend. They still fought hard and took the game as deep as they could. M Imran was expensive as he gave away 30 in 3 overs. Ilyas picked the crucial wicket of Masood but could only bowl a single over. Later, M Nabi picked two wickets, however, Babar Azam, perhaps, missed the trick by bringing him late into the attack.
M Rizwan held firm at one end and guided his team home in 18.2 overs. He scored an unbeaten half-century and helped the team register a seven-wicket win. Karachi Kings should forget the memories of that defeat and focus on what’s ahead.

Quetta Gladiators, on the other hand, will be playing their second match of this season. They had a horrendous outing last year, having managed to register only 2 wins in 10 matches. Gladiators would look to make a fresh start ahead of a new season. They will be playing their first game against Karachi Kings on Saturday.
Sarfaraz Ahmed will, once again, be leading the team. There is no denying that they have formed a lethal batting unit. The presence of both Jason Roy and James Vince makes them a formidable batting unit. However, due to international commitments, they will be joining the squad later in the tournament. In their absence, they will be banking on the services of Ben Duckett and Sarfaraz Ahmed at the top of the order.
Afridi will be sharing the spin bowling duties along with Mohammad Hasnain. In the fast bowling department, Karachi Kings have got the likes of Naseem Shah, M Hasnain, and James Faulkner.
