The 13th match of the Pakistan Super League 2022 sees Multan Sultans take on Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday at National Stadium in Karachi. Multan Sultans have been ruthless in the tournament so far.
They have managed to win all four games and would look to continue the winning momentum. They are coming into this game on the back of a 20-run win over Islamabad United.

Opener Shan Masood continued his fine form as he played a vital 43-run knock of 31 balls. However, the M Rizwan (12 off 11) and Maqsood (13 off 11) had forgettable outings with the bat. At the halfway stage of the innings, Multan Sultans were in a spot of bother at 78 for 3 in 10.2 overs.
However, what followed was some sensational ball-striking from Tim David and Rilee Rossouw. The duo put on a 110-run partnership for the fourth wicket, thereby helping the team reach a mammoth score of 217 runs on the board. Rossouw scored 67 runs in 35 deliveries, while Tim David amassed 72 runs in just 29 deliveries at a strike rate of 244.83.

In reply, Islamabad United fell 20 runs short of the target. Once again, it was Khushdil Shah, who stepped up with the ball as he picked 4 wickets for 35 runs in 4 overs. David Willey also bowled well for his 3 for 38.
On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi are currently sitting at the number four position with 2 wins in 4 matches. They would be brimming with confidence after having won their last game against Karachi Kings by 9 runs.
Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi scored 173 runs in that encounter. Hazratullah Zazai provided the team a brilliant start as he amassed 41 runs in 27 deliveries, a knock which was laced with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Later Shoaib Malik played a valuable knock of 52 runs in 28 deliveries, while he received good support from Ben Cutting (24 off 22) and Rutherford (9 off 4).

Peshawar Zalmi’s bowling unit exhibited a much-improved performance than the previous games. They kept picking wickets at regular intervals and denied Karachi to inflict momentum in their innings.
Mohammad Umar starred with the ball as he picked 3 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs. Usman Qadir picked 1 for 29 in 3 overs. Skipper Wahab Riaz, once again, had a forgettable day as he finished with figures of 0 for 43 in 4 overs.
