In the opening game, MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals will lock horns with each other. The SA20 2023 final will take place on February 11. There are a total of 6 teams that will collide in the SA20 2023 tournament. They are MI Cape Town, Paarl Royals, Durban Super Giants, Joburg Super Kings, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, and Pretoria Capitals.

All these teams will face each twice during the league stage. A total of 33 games will take place during SA20 2023. Out of the 6 teams, the top 4 teams in the points table after the group stage will qualify for the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will face each other in the final.

Many players from South Africa as well as other countries are part of the tournament. Rashid Khan is the skipper of MI Cape Town while David Miller is the captain of Paarl Royals. Quinton de Kock leads Durban Super Giants while Faf du Plessis is the skipper of the Joburg Super Kings.
