Sri Lanka and Australia go head to head in the first of the five ODIs in Pallekele. The Aussies won the T20I series 2-1 and are now looking to win the ODI series as well. Both teams have important points up for grabs as they look to move up the ICC ODI Super League points table.
The Aussies have already announced the playing XI for the first ODI. Pat Cummins returns to the side with Mitchell Starc ruled out of the first few ODIs. Adding to Starc in the injury list is Kane Richardson who is ruled out of the series with a hamstring injury.
There are no injury concerns in the Sri Lankan camp. The side is motivated ahead of the first ODI after their brilliant win in the final T20I. Skipper Dasun Shanaka scored an unbeaten 54 off 25 deliveries as the Lankans won the game with a ball to spare. Having lost theT20I series, they are looking to make up for it in the ODIs.
