SL vs AUS: Sri Lanka Announce 21-member Squad For Five-match ODI Series vs Australia

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) selection committee has picked a 21-member Sri Lanka National Cricket Team squad for the upcoming five-match One Day International (ODI) series against the Australia National Cricket Team, which is scheduled to begin on June 14.

The five-match One Day International series between Sri Lanka and Australia is part of the Australia tour of Sri Lanka 2022. Along with 5 One Day International games, the teams will be playing 3 T20 International games and 2 Test matches.

The first two T20I games of the 3-match series have already been played and Australia won the first match in a dominant manner by 10 wickets and in the second game, Australia won by 3 wickets to win the series with one game remaining.

Meanwhile, Bhanuka Rajapaksa has got his One Day International (ODI) recall for the series against Australia and the 19-year-old Dunith Wellalage has got his maiden ODI call-up for the Australia series.

Also, the 24-year-old Avishka Fernando was not included in the squad and other than that there have not been any surprise call-ups or recalls and the SLC has not dropped any major names from the team.

Talking about Australia, they will be going with a strong squad in the ODI series, which will be led by veteran Aaron Finch, and they will be looking forward to winning the ODI series as well.
