The young Indian seamer fell ill during the Asia Cup due to which India were a pacer short for the longer part of the tournament. India went in with just three and Avesh’s illness hurt India even more.
After playing the first two league games, the pacer was eventually ruled out of the rest of the Asia Cup as India faced Pakistan in the Super 4. Given that he has not recovered yet, he might be dropped from the upcoming series against South Africa.
