India is set to face South Africa in the 2nd ODI of the ongoing series. IND vs SA 3rd ODI is scheduled to be played on October 11 (Tuesday). The venue of the stadium is Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. India is led by Shikhar Dhawan in the IND vs SA series.

Temba Bavuma is the captain of South Africa in the series. India lost the 1st ODI by 9 runs and won the 2nd ODI by 7 wickets. Hence, the series is tied 1-1 currently. Shikhar Dhawan is the skipper of the team in IND vs SA ODI series and will lead the team in the 3rd ODI as well. The left-handed batsman has failed to come up with a good knock in both games so far. The India opener scored 4 runs in the 1st ODI and 13 runs in the 2nd ODI. Now, he will aim to finish the series with a good knock in the last game.

Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill might be the other opener for India in IND vs SA 3rd ODI. The right-handed batsman got out for 3 runs in the 1st encounter. In the 2nd ODI, the youngster hit a better knock of 28 runs. In the final game, Gill will look to score a big knock and provide a quick start to the team’s batting.

 

Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan might be the one-down batsman for India in IND vs SA 3rd ODI. At his home ground Ranchi, the left-handed batsman shattered a marvellous knock of 93 runs in the last game. He got out for 20 runs in the 1st ODI. After a stupendous knock in the 2nd ODI, Kishan will look to come up with another brilliant knock in the last ODI.

 

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer might be another middle-order batter for the team in the final ODI. The right-handed batsman slammed a match-winning knock of 113 runs in the 2nd ODI. He also smacked a fifty in the opening ODI. Hence, Iyer is an in-form batsman. If he comes up with another wonderful knock in the next game, he might win the player of the series award as well.

Sanju Samson (WK)

Sanju Samson will be another middle-order batsman for India in the last ODI. He will also keep the stumps for the team. The right-handed batsman has slammed good knocks in both games so far. The wicketkeeper batter slammed an unbeaten 86 runs in the 1st ODI and then scored an unbeaten 30 runs in the previous game. He will aim to score another good knock for the team in the final clash.

 

Shahbaz Ahmed

Shahbaz Ahmed made a superb debut in IND vs SA 2nd ODI. The left-arm spinner picked 1 wicket in the match in his 10 overs and conceded just 54 runs. He did not get a chance to bat but did a good job with the ball. He might get another chance in the next match.

Washington Sundar might be an all-rounder for the team in IND vs SA 3rd ODI. He only played in the 2nd ODI. The right-arm spinner picked 1 wicket and conceded 60 runs in his 9 overs. He can also score runs with the bat which will be an advantage for the team.

Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi might replace Kuldeep Yadav in the final ODI against South Africa. Bishnoi made his ODI debut in the 1st ODI, picking 1 wicket in the match at an economy of 8.60. He was benched in the 2nd game. However, he might replace Kuldeep Yadav in the final match as the latter has played 2 games in the series.

Shardul Thakur might be another might be one of the pacers for the team in IND vs SA 3rd ODI. The right-arm pacer has picked 3 wickets in 2 games so far at an average of 23.66. Thakur picked 2 wickets in the 1 ODI and 1 wicket in the 2nd ODI. He has performed well so far and might be roped in the final ODI as well.

 

Mohammed Siraj
