IND vs SA: Send Hardik Pandya Slightly Up, Give Yuzvendra Chahal Full Quota of 4 Overs! Aakash Chopra's Advice For Team India in 2nd T20I

Cricket commentator Aakash Chopra has given a couple of suggestions to team India ahead of the 2nd T20I game against South Africa. Aakash Chopra has advised sending Hardik Pandya slightly up the order in the next game. He has also advised giving Yuzvendra Chahal his full quota of 4 overs.

India and South Africa are set to lock horns in the 2nd T20I of the five-match T20I series on June 12 (Sunday). India lost the 1st T20I even after posting a mammoth total of 211-4 in the 1st innings. Indian bowlers could not defend their total against an attacking batting show by David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen, who smacked unbeaten 64 and 75 respectively to grab victory for the team by 7 wickets.

You Can Send Hardik Pandya Ahead of Rishabh Pant, Says Aakash Chopra

While speaking on his Youtube channel ahead of IND vs SA 2nd T20I, Aakash Chopra said that India should send Hardik Pandya up the order. He also advised that Pandya can come ahead of Rishabh Pant so that he gets enough balls to play.

“I feel you should send Hardik Pandya slightly up the order, whenever a wicket falls after the 10th to 12th over. If you give him 30 balls to play, he is going to give you a 70 or 80, he will do something like that. You can send Hardik Pandya ahead of Rishabh Pant,” Aakash Chopra said.

Hardik Pandya slammed a quickfire knock of 31 runs off 12 balls in the 1st T20I. His blistering knock towards the end helped India to reach a gigantic total of 211-4 in the 1st innings. Pandya slammed 3 sixes and 2 fours to score the maximum runs he could smash with the bat off just 12 deliveries he played.

Give Yuzvendra Chahal His Full Quota Of 4 Overs: Aakash Chopra

Talking about the bowling changes, former India opener Aakash Chopra said that Yuzvendra Chahal should be allowed to bowl his full quota of 4 overs.

“Should there be any change in the bowling? Get Yuzvendra Chahal to bowl first, and give him his full quota of four overs. That’s one thing you must do. An interesting stat about Harshal Patel is that, he bowls very well at the death, but for RCB he gives nine-odd runs per over but 11 runs per over for India. So he has been slightly under the scanner when it comes to India,” Chopra further said.

Yuzvendra Chahal bowled only 2 overs in the 1st T20I. After he was carted away for a lot of runs in the first two overs, skipper Rishabh Pant restricted him from completing his full quota of overs. Many experts also criticized this decision. Chahal, who was the primary spinner for India in the match, bowled only 2.1 overs and gave away 26 runs.
