IND vs SL: Aakash Chopra Feels Jayant Yadav Will Not Be Part Of 2nd Test

Cricket commentator Aakash Chopra feels that Jayant Yadav will not be part of India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test. Aakash Chopra also said that Mayank Agarwal can’t miss chances. He also lauded Hanuma Virari, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja for their good performance in India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test in Mohali.

Spinner Jayant Yadav ended wicketless in India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test. While his counterparts Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja grabbed 6 and 9 wickets respectively in the match, Yadav could not manage to get even 1 wicket. Mayank Agarwal scored 33 runs while batting as an opener.

Mayank Agarwal Can’t Miss Chances: Aakash Chopra

While speaking about India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test on his YouTube channel, former India cricketer Aakash Chopra said that Mayank Agarwal can’t miss chances like that.

“The big question is that we are still waiting for Virat Kohli’s century. Questions will repeatedly be asked about Rohit Sharma’s problems with the pull. Mayank Agarwal can’t miss chances; you get one-one chance only. Hanuma Vihari did very well, and Shreyas Iyer missed out,” Chopra said.

Chopra also praised Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja for their batting show.

“Rishabh Pant – what a player. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja are the most entertaining players, not just for Indian cricket, but also the world over. They run the game and allow something or the other to happen.”

I Don’t See Jayant Yadav Playing The Next Match: Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra also feels that Jayant Yadav might not get another chance in the next match.

“If we talk about the bowlers, Jayant Yadav is bowling too many no-balls. If you go with five bowlers, the fifth bowler does not get too many overs, especially if he is a spinner. I don’t see him (Yadav) playing the next match, in any case.”

India defeated Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in the 1st Test in Mohali. India post mammoth 574-8 (d) in the 1st innings.

Later, they bowled out Sri Lanka for 174 and 178 in both innings with a follow-on. Ravindra Jadeja, who shattered unbeaten 175 and picked 9 wickets in the match, earned the player of the match award.
