Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was taken to hospital on Saturday during the second T20I match between India and Sri Lanka in Dharamshala. The left-handed batter was hit on the head from a lethal pace delivery bowled by Sri Lankan speedster Lahiru Kumara in the fourth over of India’s innings.

The ball clonked on his helmet and the Jharkhand player was immediately down and was left bewildered, the bowler also came to check him before the Indian physios examined the situation on the field.

Kishan continued to bat after receiving the blow but his innings didn’t last long as he was caught by Dasun Shanaka off Kumara’s bowling on the first ball of the final over of Powerplay.
