IND vs SL: Watch – Comedy Of Errors By The Sri Lankan Team As They Fail To Run Out Mohammed Shami And Ravindra Jadeja

A hilarious incident took place on Day 2 of the first match of the two-match Test series between Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lanka National Cricket Team at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh, on Saturday.

The funny incident took place in the 125th over of India’s innings, which was bowled by Sri Lanka left-arm pacer Vishwa Fernando, and when all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was batting along with pacer Mohammed Shami.

Fernando delivered a 111kph off-cutter and Jadeja smashed it towards the mid-wicket. Then, there was a comedy of errors made by the Sri Lankan team as they failed to run out Shami and Jadeja.

Shami after completing the first run ran all the way back for the second run, but Jadeja was in no mood for 2 and he decided to send the veteran pacer Shami back and he ran into his crease at the non-striker’s end.

Pacer Vishwa Fernando missed the action that took place between Jadeja and Shami and he collected the throw and knocked the stumps at his own end and the Sri Lanka wicket-keeper kept waiting for the ball to come towards his end.

Meanwhile, after smashing century all-rounder Jadeja looked in full control and he smashed Sri Lanka spinner Lasith Embuldeniya for three consecutive boundaries. Also, he reached the score of 150 in style, by smashing a fantastic six off Dhananjaya over the long-off boundary.

For the 9th Wicket, Jadeja and Shami completed the half-century partnership off 56 balls in which Shami’s contribution was of 0 runs.

At the time of writing, Jadeja is going berserk against the Sri Lankan bowling unit and he is marching towards his double century.
