IND vs SL: Watch – Virat Kohli Gets Felicitated By Rahul Dravid On His 100th Test Match

Former India National Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli was felicitated by head coach Rahul Dravid on his 100th Test match on Friday.

The 33-year-old Virat Kohli has become only the 12th Indian cricketer to play 100 Test matches. He is playing his 100th Test game under the leadership of Rohit Sharma against Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lanka National Cricket Team at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh, on Friday, March 4.

Meanwhile, Kohli was felicitated with a specially made Test cap by head coach Rahul Dravid and the head coach said:

 “It’s well deserved, well earned, and hopefully it is just the start of mant things to come. As we say in the dressing room, double it up.”

It is a special moment for me – Virat Kohli

Batting maestro Virat Kohli after being felicitated by head coach Dravid said that it is a special moment for him. He added that his family members are in Mohali and they are proud of him. He also thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Kohli elaborated:

“It is a special moment for me. My wife is here and so is my brother. Everyone is very proud. It is indeed a team game and it couldn’t have been possible without you. Thanks to the BCCI as well. In present-day cricket, with the amount we play with three formats and an IPL, the one takeaway the next generation can take from me is that I played 100 games in the purest format.” 

Also, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, India captain Rohit Sharma, who had replaced Kohli as all-format captain, said that Kohli playing the 100th Test is a special occasion for the team and the former Indian captain Kohli is looking forward to his landmark 100th Test.
