You Might Regret It! Aakash Chopra Has An Advice For Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Hooda After Their Poor Batting Show In India vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20I

Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra gave a piece of advice to Venkatesh Iyer and Deepak Hooda after the duo failed to come up with a good knock in India vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20I. Aakash Chopra said that both of them should make use of opportunities when they get them, otherwise they will regret it later.

India defeated Sri Lanka in the IND vs SL 3rd T20I by 6 wickets while chasing a 147-run target. Deepak Hooda and Venkatesh Iyer came out to bat at no.4 and no.5 respectively but failed to come up with a good knock. While Iyer got out for 5 runs, Deepak Hooda scored 21 off 16 before losing his wicket.

You Will Not Get Too Many Chances, Says Aakash Chopra

While speaking on his YouTube channel about India vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20I, former India player and cricket commentator Aakash Chopra said that both of them should utilize the opportunities they get. Chopra pointed out that Iyer and Hooda had a good opportunity in IND vs SL 3rd T20I to finish the match but they failed to do so.

“Venkatesh Iyer was sent up the order. He spoilt his innings and went because you will not get too many chances. Utilize it whenever you get them else you might regret. You make a mistake once but regret it for a long time. (Deepak) Hooda got a chance to come up the order”.

“It was a short but good knock. He became a little too cute, he should have actually finished the match. You will not get too many opportunities, when you are getting it, make the best use of it”, Aakash Chopra said.

Aakash Chopra also pointed out the mistake Sanju Samson is doing while batting. Samson scored 18 runs off 12 balls while batting as an opener in IND vs SL 3rd T20I.

“Sanju Samson started looking okay and then he got out. His problem is that both his feet are inside the crease and he can get dismissed against pitched-up deliveries. He got out caught behind,” the former India opener Aakash Chopra further said.

India managed to defeat Sri Lanka comfortably in 16.5 overs in the 3rd T20I by 6 wickets, with an unbeaten 73 by Shreyas Iyer. India also defeated Sri Lanka in the 1st T20I by 62 runs and 2nd T20I by 7 wickets, thereby bagging a clean sweep in the IND vs SL T20I series 3-0.

Now, India will face Sri Lanka in the two-match Test series. India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test starts on March 4 at IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. The 2nd Test begins on March 12 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
