In the opening game of the three-match series versus Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium, the promising fast bowler Shivam Mavi grabbed 4-22 making him the third Indian male cricketer to capture four wickets on his T20I debut. India maintained composure to defeat Sri Lanka by two runs in the first T20I on Tuesday night in Mumbai, cruising on Mavi’s four-wicket haul.

The youngster made a strong beginning by taking two breakthroughs in the Powerplay, sending back Pathum Nissanka and Dhananjaya de Silva. India got off to a strong start with the ball thanks to Mavi and captain Hardik Pandya, limiting the visitors to only 35 runs in the opening six overs.
