Sri Lankan Cricket Team is all set to take on India for 3 T20I match series starting from 3rd January (Tuesday). This T20I Series would be quite a riveting one as India would be eyeing revenge for Asia Cup 2022 defeat where they were completely outplayed.

Surprisingly, once again the senior members: Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma have been rested for the T20I leg. It is assumed that Hardik Pandya would be the leader for the T20 WC 2024. Hardik had won the T20I Series in New Zealand where he was quite spot-on with his decisions.

Sri Lanka Cricket Name Physio

Chris Clarke-Irons  is the new physiotherapist of Sri Lanka Men’s Cricket Team and has been appointed for 2 year tenure. Clarke-Irons holds a degree in BSc (Hons) degree in physiotherapy from the University of East London and an MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy from Kings College, London. He was also a part of England’s ODI tour of Australia 2022 as a physio.

Steep Road Ahead for Sri Lanka

The island nation would be well aware of the fact that they cannot take India lightly even if the team is a second string one. Sri Lanka’s arsenal is their  spin but they that can backfire as under Hardik Pandya’s leadership, we witnessed attacking brand of cricket against New Zealand.

Skipper Dasun Shanaka should promote himself at No.4 or No.5 position as he is someone who can provide stability to the team in the middle overs phase.  The management must use Chamika Karunaratne as a floater as he has a knack of changing the game quickly and has a surprise element in him. The Lankan fans would be hoping that the team registers their maiden T20I Series in India.
