Star Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav rewrote history during the third and final T20I of the series against Sri Lanka with his undefeated third T20I century, becoming the quickest player to achieve 1,500 runs in the shortest format in terms of balls taken.

Suryakumar Yadav reached this milestone in T20I cricket in the quickest time of all players, playing only 843 balls.

The four batsmen who reached the milestone the quickest were Virat Kohli of India, KL Rahul of Pakistan, seasoned Australian Aaron Finch, and Babar Azam of Australia, who each needed 39 innings to reach 1,500 runs in T20Is. Mohammed Rizwan, a Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman, accomplished the feat in 42 innings, while Suryakumar did so in 43.

The three-match One-Day International series between both teams will begin on January 10.
