The 25-year-old Sri Lanka National Cricket Team leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga bamboozled the 23-year-old India National Cricket Team opening batsman Shubman Gill in the third T20I match of the series on Saturday, January 7.
The series decider clash of the three-match T20I series between the Hardik Pandya-led India National Cricket Team and the Dasun Shanaka-led Sri Lanka National Cricket Team is currently being played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

Shubman Gill, while opening the innings with Ishan Kishan, started off very slow. He played a lot of dot balls in the initial half of his innings. The Punjab-born batter played 9 consecutive dot balls, before getting off the mark by smashing a six to pacer Dilshan Madushanka.
Meanwhile, the premier Sri Lanka leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga cleaned up Gill on the 4th ball of the 15th over. Hasaranga bowled a shortish length delivery and Gill walked down the track to play for the turn. However, the ball went straight through the bat-pad gap, stayed a little low and crashed into the stumps.

Gill scored 46 runs off 36 balls, including 2 fours and 3 sixes, before being dismissed by the premier Sri Lanka leg-spinner. He batted with a strike rate of 127.78.
Gill was heading into the match with two consecutive low scores as he registered 7 and 5 in the T20Is against Sri Lanka in Mumbai and Pune.
Meanwhile, he also stitched up a remarkable 111 runs partnership in 53 balls with the No.1 T20I batter in the World, Suryakumar Yadav.
Earlier, India National Cricket Team won the toss, elected to bat first in the match and made no changes to the playing XI. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, dropped Bhanuka Rajapaksa after his string of poor performances and replaced him with Avishka Fernando in the playing XI.
