India vs Sri Lanka Head-to-Head In T20s, T20 Record, Player Stats, 1st T20I. India and Sri Lanka go head to head in a three-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series. The first T20I will be played in Mumbai on January 3.

The next two T20Is will be played on January 5 (Pune) and January 7 (Rajkot). The three ODI games are scheduled to take place on January 10, 12, and 15 in Guwahati, Kolkata, and Thiruvananthapuram respectively.

India and Sri Lanka have both their names for the series. Dasun Shanaka will lead the Lankans in both T20Is and ODIs. Rohit Sharma will lead the side in the ODIs. Hardik Pandya will lead the side in T20Is with all the senior players rested. The young side is pumped up to avenge the Asia Cup defeat against the Lankans.

India and Sri Lanka last faced each other in Asia Cup 2022. During the super 12 round, Sri Lanka gave a big blow to India by defeating them by 6 wickets in the match.

As a result, India also failed to reach Asia Cup 2022 final. Later, Sri Lanka also won the final after defeating Pakistan in the final. The Islanders toured India in 2022 for a three-match T20I series and two-match Test series. India whitewashed their opponents in both formats.

Heading into this series, India lost an ODI series against Bangladesh 2-1. However, they came back to win the Test series 2-0. The series win has kept them alive in the WTC final race. They are placed second on the points table at the moment.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, played an ODI series against Afghanistan in November 2022. The series ended 1-1 with Afghanistan winning the first ODI by 60 runs and Sri Lanka coming back to win the third ODI by four wickets. The second ODI was washed out due to rain.
