Southern Brave pacer Tymal Mills will not play the rest of the Hundred after he sustained an injury but the left-armer will be keen to return for the 7-match T20I series against Pakistan.

Mills was part of the previous T20 World Cup in the UAE but suffered a thigh injury which ruled him out of the tournament. He has played only one of the 6 T20Is in England’s home summer.

The toe injury flared up once again prior to the start of Hundred and he sat out of the first game. He returned for the game against Birmingham Phoenix but couldn’t make much of an impact.

Following a surgery on Friday morning and another procedure five days later, he was ruled out of the tournament. Mills’ death bowling expertise is something England relies on and they will hope he recovers quickly.

As for his replacement in Southern Brave, the team is searching for prospects but there are not a lot of options in the fast bowling department. Their campaign is also off to a poor start, losing 2 of the first 3 matches.
