This is Not the Person I Knew - Elli AvRam Reacts to Ex Hardik Pandya's Controversy

The recent controversial remarks from Indian National Cricket team players Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul has received a lot of flak since it went air. BCCI have also suspended the disgraced cricketer and asked them to return to the country from Australia until further inquiry. While everybody already have had their say on the controversy, finally Pandya’s ex-girlfriend Elli AvRam has reacted on the same.

Meanwhile, there has been a social media uproar since the episode from Koffee With Karan hosted by Karan Johar went air. After the controversy it garnered, digital broadcasting platform Hotstar decided to bring it down from their website. However, CoA is yet to take a call on the quantum of punishment; however, is likely to announce it soon.

“I just came back to India and I have been getting messages from journalists who have been asking me questions regarding this and I had no idea what they were talking about. But then I have seen certain footage and I just think it’s very sad.

“I got a little bit surprised because that’s not really the Hardik Pandya I personally once used to know! I think it’s great that people are reacting and putting their foot down on this kind of behaviour because it’s about time we all realize that this kind of mentality is not cool. Neither is it something to brag about,” Elli AvRam said.

It shouldn’t be taken lightly

Speaking on the suspension, AvRam noted that it is a privilege and they should not take things lightly. She also noted that thing should be dealt with strictly because the new generation is idolising them.

“On terms of what is happening from what I read, they are getting suspended right? I mean I just feel when you get an opportunity to represent your country, it’s a really big privilege to get that and it shouldn’t be taken lightly. I believe because by the end of the day the youth that is our next generation are actually they are watching and learning from their idols. So… that’s all I have to say on this,” she concluded.
