India and Sri Lanka are heading off to an exciting class for a three-match ODI series starting on Sunday and all eyes will be on the young Indian side of their performance. Shikhar Dhawan has been the man in form and he has been doing really well in the last seasons of IPL which earned him the captaincy ahead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The left-hander is one of the prolific run-scorers in limited-overs games and finished as the leading run-scorer in the IPL this season.

The 35-year-old has been approaching the latter part of his career and he has an excellent record for India in One day especially with an average of over 45 as an opener. He is going to play an important role for India at the top being the senior batsman and also as the captain, and he is most likely to end up as the leading run-scorer in the Sri Lanka ODI series.
