5. Sanju Samson pocketing coin after the toss on his captaincy debut

IPL 2021 saw Sanju Samson making his captaincy debut in the tournament. Rajasthan Royal didn’t fare too well but Samson’s individual performance was outstanding. In his first match as captain against Punjab Kings, Samson did something which left one and all in splits. The Rajasthan Royals batsman pocketed the coin after the toss. He asked the referee if he can have it but the latter said no. Nevertheless, it was some drama.

“The coin looked really nice so I pocketed it, asked the referee if I can have it, but he said no,” Samson said during the post-match presentation.

Samson later went on to score a sensational knock of 119 off just 63 balls, including 12 fours and 7 sixes.

4. Dinesh Karthik-Shikhar Dhawan hilarious act leaves fans in splits in IPL 2021

Chennai Super Kings won the IPL 2021 title after beating Kolkata Knight Riders in the final. Apart from heart-warming contests, the 2021 edition of the tournament also involved some of the funniest incidents in the tournament’s history. One such event took place in the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals.

During the match, India’s prominent cricketers, Dinesh Karthik and Shikhar Dhawan got involved in a hilarious banter. It happened after the 3^rd delivery of the 12^th over was bowled during Delhi Capitals’ run-chase of 155. Varun Chakravarthy bowled a back of a length delivery that spun down the leg-side.

Dinesh Karthik moved to his right, grabbed the ball, and appealed to Dhawan. Dhawan, in return, came down to his knees while being inside the crease. The incident left everyone in splits.

3. Chris Gayle Hugs Mitchell March After Dismissing Him On His Last International Delivery

Universal Boss, Chris Gayle is known to be a jovial and happy-go-lucky person. He has been often seen getting involved in funny banters inside the cricket field. The West Indies legendary batsman played his last ICC World Cup in the recently concluded T20 edition in 2021.

In what was his last delivery in an ICC World Cup, Chris Gayle managed to pick the wicket of Shaun Marsh. Gayle celebrated the wicket in his own bizarre way. He ran towards Shaun Marsh and went on to hug the Australian. Marsh, in return, offered a smile back to the West Indian. The incident caught the attention of many and left all of them laughing.
