Green is good when it comes to fast tracks and that is what will be on offer when India and West Indies face off in the second Test. In a desperate attempt to win the upcoming second Test against India, West Indies have prepared a spicy track where pacers could make merry. India are leading the two-match series after winning the first Test by 318 runs.

India are yet to lose a single game on the tour. The visitors won the T20Is 3-0 before winning the ODIs 2-0. They will be favourite to win the upcoming Test too. However, West Indies could pose serious problems for India with the new ball. The likes of Kemar Roach, Jason Holder and Shannon Gabriel are more than capable of destroying any batting lineup on their day.

India have traditionally struggled against pace and if looking at the pitch on offer, one can say that the batsmen will have their task cut out. Former West Indies international Ian Bishop took to Twitter to share a couple of photos of the pitch. The pitch was full of green grass which is the key ingredient for a fast pitch.

The ploy, however, could backfire for West Indies as India’s pacers are also in stunning form at the moment. In the last Test, both Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah picked up five-wicket hauls. Bumrah, in fact, picked up 5 for just seven runs as India bowled out West Indies for just 100 in the second innings to register their biggest overseas win in terms of runs.

West Indies will be desperate to get back to winning ways to end the series on a good note. The Jason Holder-led side has not really managed to challenge India but are definitely capable of doing it. With a green pitch on offer, one can expect a tight clash.
