ICC World Cup 2019: Rohit Sharma Refuses to Rank his Hundred Against Pakistan

While defending the target, India received a massive blow as Bhuvneshwar Kumar had to leave the field with a hamstring pull. But it came as a disguise as Vijay Shankar who came to bowl at his place struck in his very first delivery. Since then, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman tried to bail Pakistan out, but once Kuldeep Yadav bamboozled Babar with outstanding delivery, it was all over for Pakistan. Kuldeep struck one more while Hardik Pandya chipped in two wickets with consecutive balls before the rain pouring down. The revised target read, Pakistan needed 136 runs from 30 deliveries which looked impossible for Sarfraz Ahmed & Co. Imad Wasim tried his best as Pakistan fell short by 89 runs.

Previously, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul added 136 runs for the first wicket to set the platform for the batters to follow. Although Rahul got out for 57 runs, skipper Virat Kohli dominated from the word go and staged a terrific partnership with Rohit. The duo took India to massive total, and in the process, Rohit completed his second hundred of this World Cup. He has been in scintillating form right from the start with two centuries and one fifty to his name. Meanwhile, it looked like India were well in place to cross the 350-run mark, but Mohammad Amir pulled things back to restrict the Men in Blues to 336 runs.
