India's xi

After suffering a humiliating defeat by seven wickets in the hands of the visitors at Dharamsala in the first ODI, India’s XI under their new captain Rohit Sharma will like to bounce back in the second ODI at Mohali and level the three-match series. India batsmen didn’t feel at place in front of the Sri Lankan bowlers as they were reduced to 29 for 7 in the first match; however, they possess a lot of talent and has the capability of playing big knocks.

India will go in with the same team except the experienced Ajinkya Rahane is likely to be included in the first XI in place of Shreyash Iyer for the experience he will bring in with him. Rahane also had a good ODI series against New Zealand scoring some fifty plus scores and will like to make it count in the absence of the regular no three batsmen Virat Kohli.

Here is the predicted XI for India for the second ODI against Sri Lanka:

Yuzvendra Chahal: The young leg-break bowler has the happy knack of picking up wickets and can bowl during the power-play overs. Although he can be a bit costly, he is a match-winner for this team. Chahal has been consistent enough, and his team will require him bowl at tight lines and pick up wickets to keep this relatively inexperienced batting line-up on a check.
