The PSL has gripped the cricketing world, and the celebrities in Pakistan have picked their respective favorite teams. Every team has its brand ambassador and the defending champions Peshawar Zalmi have actress Mahira Khan as their brand ambassador.
Khan has also acted in a Bollywood movie opposite superstar actor Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Raees.’ Cricket has an enormous following in both India and Pakistan not just amongst the general cricket fans but amongst the celebrities as well.
Actor and actresses support their teams and have a specific player as their favorite and who they would like to be.
Similarly, Khan has also picked her favorite cricketer in Pakistan cricket. Mahira said that she would have liked to become a cricketer like the 1992 World Cup winning captain Imran Khan.
In an interview, the actress said if she were an athlete she would like to be a cricketer and that too like Imran Khan.
Mahira said:
“I’m not a sporty person. But I wish I could be a sportsperson. It is kind of like acting. People cheer for you when you perform good. You are ‘out’ if you don’t.”
