Nidahas Trophy 2018: BCCI Acting President CK Khanna reacts to Indian win

Shortly after India managed to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat, the cricketing fraternity clogged in with their congratulatory messages for the second string squad and the man who played the innings of his life, Dinesh Karthik.

This also included BCCI Acting President, CK Khanna, who bragged about the strength of the Indian domestic structure. Khanna tagged the Indian win as ‘amazing’ and also lauded the efforts of India’s wicket-keeper batsman, Dinesh Karthik.

With 34 needed off the last couple of overs, the match was done and dusted for India. However, DK kept his cool and smacked everything in sight for his unbelievable 8-ball 29.

“What an amazing win. Shows the strength of our good domestic cricket. I congratulate everyone for this victory as it shows the hard work done by every individual involved in BCCI.” stated CK Khanna according to Mid-Day. “Dinesh Karthik played very well under pressure,” added Khanna.

It was not just the lynchpin of BCCI who congratulated India and Karthik for their efforts. Stalwarts such as Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh and many others congratulated the Indians for their win.

Entire Indian cricketing fraternity lauded the efforts of the boys

Legendary Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh also congratulated Dinesh Karthik, Indian team and Rohit Sharma for their efforts.

“Top inn @DineshKarthik very well done.. special hitting.. #indvsBang @BCCI congratulations #TeamIndia captain @ImRo45!,” posted Bhajji.

The win against Bangladesh in an enthralling final would hold a special place in Indian cricket. This is because of the absence of few key players which enabled India to test out its bench strength. India continued their rich form in white ball cricket even without the likes of Kohli, MS Dhoni, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya.

The other quintessential member of the Indian who was rested for the tournament, Jasprit Bumrah and shared his view on the Indian win at Colombo.
