PSL 2020: Here Are The Full Squad Of All 6 Franchises

The stage for the next edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been set with the franchises picking their best 18 players to go for the high-profile competition. The PSL 2020 draft took place on December 6 (Friday), and all the franchises have tried to solve the puzzle that can lead them to the high-profile trophy when the tournament gets underway next year.

Meanwhile, for the first time, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to host the entire PSL in their country. Previously, the league stages were played in the United Arab Emirates before hosting the playoff stages in Pakistan. Usually, overseas players were reluctant to visit the country over security reasons. But with international once again resuming, PCB has taken a bold step to host the full tournament in their country.

The six-team franchise-based tournament which started in 2015 has gained a lot of fan base in all these years. The popularity has only gone up with each passing year and is one of the top leagues after Indian Premier League and Big Bash League. The competition unfolds in a double round-robin format before the top four teams with the best record qualify for the playoffs and culminate in the championship game, the PSL Cup Final.

So far, Islamabad United have the most successful team winning the trophy twice while Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi have lifted the title once each. The upcoming edition will be an opportunity for the other side to end their barren run in the PSL. Meanwhile, with the draft done and dusted, the franchises have tried to pick the best team available for the lucrative T20 tournament.
