One-down Nicholas Pooran also slammed a brilliant knock of 61 runs off 43 balls, smashing 5 sixes and 4 boundaries in the process. In the middle-order, Roston Chase and Rovman Powell got out cheaply at 4 and 2 respectively. Towards the end, skipper Kieron Pollard slammed unbeaten 24 runs.

Indian bowlers showcased good teamwork. Harshal Patel and debutant Ravi Bishnoi grabbed 2 wickets each while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, and Yuzvenda Chahal picked 1 wicket each. While batting, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave a quickfire start to the team.

At 93 on board, both the openers went to the dugout with Sharma hitting 40 and Kishan scoring 35. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant got out cheaply in the middle at 17 and 8 respectively. Later, Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer handled the Indian batting well.
Yadav smacked an unbeaten 34 while Iyer remained not out at 24 to grab the victory for India by 6 wickets.
