Indian bowlers showcased good teamwork. Harshal Patel and debutant Ravi Bishnoi grabbed 2 wickets each while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, and Yuzvenda Chahal picked 1 wicket each. While batting, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave a quickfire start to the team.

At 93 on board, both the openers went to the dugout with Sharma hitting 40 and Kishan scoring 35. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant got out cheaply in the middle at 17 and 8 respectively. Later, Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer handled the Indian batting well.
